Somerset College

This is an exciting time for students waiting for their end of year results.  If you are looking at options based on your outcomes then don’t forget that Somerset College provides University courses in a range of vocational areas:

Arts and Design, Sport, Information Technology, Technology (Engineering), Construction, Business, Health and Professional Studies and Pre-Degree Access Diplomas.

Most of our University courses are accredited by University of Plymouth, however, the college has recently been through an approval and validation process with the Open University to develop its own degrees in preparation for the new demands of increased higher education.

Together with the Open University, the college will be opening up a whole new avenue for Somerset and the degrees that will be on offer.  For example, we hope to be one of a handful of Higher Education Institutions in the UK to offer a BA (Hons) Media Make-up.

Subject to approval, The Open University courses will be provided on campus and in the classroom like all other University courses taught at the College.
