The awards were presented to the Computing and Games Team, and to Stephen, as part of celebrations across England, Ireland and Wales on ‘Thank a Teacher Day’.

Competing Against Thousands of Nominations

The Computing and Games Team was selected from thousands of nominations as one of the winners of the prestigious Silver Pearson Teaching Awards that are presented to outstanding local heroes of education. They have been described as ”an inspiring and highly motivated team who energise one another – are strong individually, but formidable as a whole”.

They have excelled through developing diverse and innovative delivery methods, such as “build a computer against the clock”, inspired by the ‘Mission Impossible’ theme tune, or creating three dimensional models of gaming consoles. Examples of how the team design, develop and deliver an engaging and highly successful curriculum model.
