Plumbers and Heating Engineers who work on the installation and use of water supply systems need to undertake training in this area in order to do the work competently and correctly and comply with the current legislation. Many employers require their employees to hold this industry recognised certificate. It is also useful to prove competency to potential customers.
This course provides an introduction to and understanding of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 for England and Wales. It consists of 12 modules and 3 assessments. Successful completion of the course will earn you an industry recognised BPEC WRAS Certificate.
Prior to the course starting you will be issued with a training manual which provides an introduction to and understanding of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
You will attend college for a one-day intensive training course and achievement will be measured by the successful completion of the 12 modules and 3 assessments. All training is theoretical based in the classroom.
Upon completion you will be eligible to join the Water Industry Approved Plumbers Scheme (WIAPS).
As a minimum you must have successfully achieved or be working towards the C&G 6129 Level 2 Technical Certificate, or have evidence of working in the industry for a number of years.
Tuition Fees: £165 includes training manual, certificate and competency card.
