This new ceramics group is open to both beginners and more experienced ceramicists.
In this six week course, beginners and those wishing to brush up their skills will be guided through the process of traditional ceramic handbuilding techniques including coiling, pinching and slabbing to produce a series of pots which will then be decorated, glazed and fired. More experienced ceramicists are welcome to come along and make use of our facilities and tuition. Come along and learn to use the ancient craft of ceramics to create beautiful and fantastic objects, learn about different clays and glazes, and make something you will be proud to display in your home. Future projects will include sculpture, tile making, print making with clay, surface decoration and more.
