Designed to recognise advanced inspecton and testing procedures, this course is aimed at those experienced in industry or those looking for progression from the City and Guilds 2392 Level 2.
This course has been developed in association with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC). It satisfies the NICEIC's requirement that qualifying managers and operatives fully understand and comply with the requirements of BS7671 for inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
The course contains both theory and practical and is taught in a standard classroom and a simulated workshop environment. You will require steel toe capped work boots to complete this course.
Successful achievement is measured by the completion of one external written assessment and four internal practical assessments, one of which is a substantial inspection and test.
Continued or new registration with industry bodies is possible with this qualification. This is also instrumental in gaining Approved Electrician status with a JIB registered company.
Applicants should be practising electricians and hold the C&G 2382 17th Edition qualification or the equivalent update. Proof of qualifications may be required before acceptance on the course. This course is designed for those who are already familiar with the fundamentals of inspection and testing.
Candidates will also require a copy of the BS7671:2008 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (available from all good book stores).
