This course is for learners working in a customer service role. You might be responsible for cash handling, offering advice, answering questions or dealing with complaints. These roles could be face-to-face, by written correspondence or on the telephone.
There are no fees for 16-18 year olds. For 19+ the fees are £900 per year and Award Body fees
The qualification consists of a Certificate in Customer Service Knowledge. You will also complete Functional Skills in Mathematics, English and IT, all of which require an exam, and a Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service which will also involve work based assessments.
Candidates will build a portfolio of evidence and be assessed while at Somerset College and also in the workplace by one of our assessors. Evidence will be a mixture of observation, witness testimony, professional discussion and candidate evidence.
GCSE A* to C in English and Mathematics are desirable but not essential.
