This qualification will provide learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare potential recruits for the Uniformed Public Services, for example; the RAF, Army, Royal Marines, Police, Fire Brigade, Navy and Custom and Excise. In addition it is an excellent route to take if you are interested in sport and you wish to experience both career possibilities.
It will enable you to develop problem solving skills and personal qualities in preparation for all areas of employment and will support progression onto a Level 2 programme.
Units covered:
There are no external examinations. Subjects are assessed by a combination of practical based tasks and assessments, observations, presentations and some written assignments all of which will be supported by your personal tutor.
On successful completion of this programme you will be able to have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Uniformed Public Services or the Level 2 Diploma in Sport. Alternatively you could seek employment in the Uniformed Public Services.
There are no formal entry requirements. Students should be interested in joining the public services or sport/fitness industry. All applicants will be invited for interview and assessed on their suitability for the course.
