This course is for people with some management experience at a strategic level who are looking to gain promotion or improve their management skills and knowledge.
These level 7 qualifications - Award, Certificate and Diploma - are aimed at people who are working in or aspire to work in strategic management. They are designed to be work related and to develop a specific set of practical skills and associated knowledge. The courses are suitable for managers who are expected to make or contribute to strategic decisions within their organisations.
The Diploma forms the final area of study of a one year programme, which can be completed in approximately 4 months with at least 15 hours per week of study.
Through work based assignments and demonstration of areas of personal competence such as: acting assertively and strategically; behaving ethically; building teams; communicating; focusing on results; influencing others; managing self; searching for information and making decisions.
Ideally a related level 5 qualification or currently in a senior management position with relevant experience.
