This course is intended for those looking for a career in the travel and tourism industry. It is designed so that students could be available for employment with overseas holiday companies from April of Year 2 of their course. Alternatively it can be used as a step up to a Foundation Degree course.
The course is a mixture of practical and academic. You will spend some time in the College's fully operational travel agency developing customer care skills and improving product knowledge. The classroom based sessions will include the following units:

Most of the teaching and learning takes place in our modern classrooms, many of which have individual I.T. facilities for student research and assignment work. Students will spend some time in the College's Travel Agency where they will develop their Customer Care skills.
You will be assessed by a combination of assignments and on-line tests. The assignments are varied e.g. report, presentation, display. There will be some assessment of customer care in a practical environment.
Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C, to include English. Mature applicants (aged 18 plus) are very welcome and consideration will be given to appropriate work experience as an alternative. All applicants will be invited for an interview and practical activity within the Travel Agency.
