Viewed and approved by the local Children Safeguarding Board, this course provides full training to all adults working in such settings as nurseries, pre-schools and as childminders.
You will gain essential knowledge in a number of safeguarding issues, including learning indicators of abuse and neglect, how to respond appropriately to concerns about a child and how to appropriately rrecord concerns.
As well as gaining confidence in safeguarding those in your care, you will receive a certificate of attendance which can be accredited into QCF and NVQ qualifications.
For those who have received Safeguarding training where more than three years have lapsed, it is recommended that staff have a 'refresher' to maintain their knowledge and Continuous Professional Development.
Workshops typically take place over two five hour days. Refresher courses are five hours. Training is typically delivered at the College, but we are happy to make arrangements to suit your training needs.
