During this course you will study a number of units that underpin your understanding of the roles and responsibilities of teachers and trainers working in the lifelong learning sector. You will examine the importance of thorough and appropriate planning, imaginative and effective delivery and well-conceived assessment.

As part of this course we will help you to recognise the key challenges as a practitioner and lead the planning of your own improvement as a reflective professional. You will also develop a professional approach to your role in ways which will engage and inspire your trainees.

Teaching has been voted the 13th happiest career, with 83% of teachers loving their jobs.

  • Teaching and Assessment

The course will be delivered via classroom teaching sessions, small group seminars and one-to-one tutorials, with further one-to-one feedback provided during the session observations. Supporting materials will also be provided on the College’s Virtual Learning Environment.

You will be assessed by a combination of written assignments, micro-teaches and observations of your training practice.
