Who is this course for?
This 12 week course is designed for all those involved or considering involvement in organic productions systems or improving their existing organic skills.
This includes those involved in horticulture, agriculture (cropping and livestock rearing) and other associated industries.
For those not involved in organic practices it provides an ideal opportunity to study alternatives to standard practices.
Students are required to attend a series of lectures, seminars and practicals. Guest speakers from various industry-based organisations are used to give a workplace perspective.
You will have access to excellent resources and facilities both onsite (horticulture centre, Rodway Farm and the Agriculture Innovation Centre and glasshouses) and in the surrounding areas.
The qualification has been designed in collaboration with industry ensuring that you will develop the necessary skills and knowledge for employment.
12 weeks – Thursdays from 24 September (9.30 – 12.30 am) at the Cannington Centre.
Teaching and Assessment
You could progress on to the full time HNC in Horticulture.
