Who is this course for?
The Foundation Degree is a perfect platform for progression onto the BA (Hons) top-up degree. Our graduates have established careers in fields such as textile/interior design, style/trend forecasting and buying.
You will have a rich experience exploring interior textiles, fashion textiles and surface design to evaluate your place in the contemporary design industry. The course is aimed at nurturing students ready to progress onto further study or into the workplace. You will be taught to question the ways in which colour, pattern, image, scale and texture create style and atmosphere.

Applicants require a National Diploma in a Textile/Art and Design subject or an Art and Design MPP profile or similar. Alternatively, a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design or A2/AS Level including Art (minimum 160 points including 80 points at A2 Level) or AVCE Double Award Arts and Design (minimum grade CC) or Advanced Diploma or Access Certificate in Art and Design will suffice.
Students are also required to have five GCSEs, to include English language to a minimum of Grade C.
