If you are looking to develop a career within the production and manufacturing industries, this course is for you. The College has recently made substantial investment in robotic, PLC, CNC, CAD and process control technology, and has recently opened a new state-of-the-art engineering facility. This course can also form part of a Higher Apprenticeship.

Teaching and Assessment
You will learn through a combination of lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, directed study, assignment work, practical exercises and a major project normally relevant to your employment and devised in conjunction with your employer.
Assessment will be via assignments, which may include laboratory work, investigations, projects, practical exercises and integrative assignments that link various subject areas.
You could choose to progress to an HND Top-up course or study a Degree course at a university of your choice.
Upon completion you may seek work in a broad range of engineering fields, such as engineering systems, production control, design and manufacture, working as a technician, engineer or project leader.
You will require a full Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject and at least four GCSEs at grades A* - C or Grade 4 including Maths and English or a Level 2 equivalent. Mature applicants with relevant experience who do not have the stated entry requirements are encouraged to apply.
