This exhibition is an opportunity to view and invest in work by emerging contemporary artists, all of whom have taken unique directions and interpretations in producing their work.
It explores themes of landscape in relation to the everyday, the mundane, people, nature, philosophy and even the ground beneath your feet.
'All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players,' is the famous line from the Shakespearian play, 'As You Like It'.
When the entire world is your stage any number of possibilities, dramas, comedies, tragedies and triumphs can unfold. 'As You Like It' is a play that at all times stresses the complexity of things and the simultaneous pleasures and pains of being human.
The role of the artist on this stage acts as player, creator and communicator. It is a role in which aspects and ideas of the world can be represented.
Proving that when, 'all the world's a stage' it's really a matter of 'As You Like It'
The work presented in this exhibiton is taken from collections by the third year students studying BA (Hons) Fine Art. All the pieces are available for sale and comments are welcome.
