The BTEC Professional Level 5 is aimed at those currently operating in a managerial capacity and who wish to develop and consolidate their Leadership and Management skills and experience and further their personal development. This is a cumulative qualification based on credit points which are awarded for units completed. This provides individuals with the opportunity to determine the length of programme they undertake depending on their desired qualification goal i.e. Award, Certificate or Diploma. This table shows the credits required for each level of the BTEC Professional Level 5.
Level 5 Course Fees
The cost of this BTEC Level 5 course to serving military and MoD personnel is a discounted rate of £200 for the Award, £220 for the Certificate and £240 for the Diploma. This course is eligible for Standard Learning Credits (SLC) and so the actual cost that the student pays is from £42 per level. Students only pay for each level they need to study for and complete. Those students who have sufficient APL to go straight onto the Certificate do not need to pay for the Award before commencing the Certificate. More information on SLC can be found from Education or Resettlement Officers.
Enrolment on the BTEC Level 5 Award, Certificate and Diploma course is by an Enrolment Form which when completed should be returned to Somerset College along with payment, JPA Competences, a CV (if available) and any other paperwork appropriate in terms of assessing RPL. Eligible students will also need to apply separately for their SLC grant.
