Somerset College

A group of twenty artists who are members of Somerset Emerging Artists Network, are showing their work at an exciting exhibition of contemporary art.
The group, which includes past and recent graduates of Somerset College, is exhibiting until August 6 at The Auction House, Canal Road, Taunton.
This is the last remaining building on the former Taunton Livestock Market and the event is supported by Taunton Deane Borough Council, which has given the group use of The Auction House, also by Somerset Art Works and Somerset College.
Stuart Rosamond, Head of Fine Art at the College, said: “This exhibition is important for the artists involved and, more importantly, for the growing cultural centre of Taunton.  We need to keep our talent in the South West and exhibitions such as this are vital to encourage artists.”
Entry is free and hours of opening are: 10 am – 4 pm Monday to Friday; 10 am – 6 pm Saturdays.
