Artists, designers and performers are all set to show their talents to the public as the Somerset College Arts & Design Summer Shows swing into action from this week.
The Shows are the final work of graduating University and Further Education students involved in fine art, graphic design, fashion and textiles, and are taking place at the College’s Taunton site as well as at The Brewhouse Gallery and at London graduate events.
National Diploma Performing Arts students are also performing at The Brewhouse Theatre and at Somerset College’s Echo Studio Theatre.
There are five lively art and design shows taking place as part of the end of year programme, as well as a number of performances. They are all open to the public and include:
Graduate and Further Education Show held at the College’s Arts & Design Centre from Saturday June 19 and Monday June 21 – Thursday June 24.
BA (Hons) Fine Art show at The Brewhouse Gallery, Taunton, from Wednesday June 16 – Saturday June 26;
Performing Arts events are on Wednesday and Thursday June 16 and 17 at the Brewhouse Theatre and at the Somerset College Echo Studio Theatre on June 21, 24, 26 and 27.
London events include New Designers show at Business Design Centre, Islington, London, on July 1 - 5; Graphic Design New Blood at Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London from June 24 - 28; The Somerset College Graphic Design Book Launch – Monday June 28 at The Crown Tavern, Clerkenwell Green, London.
