Media Make-Up students offered work on a BBC Production
Three Somerset College Media Make-Up students have been offered work on the BBC’s forthcoming adaptation of Wolf Hall.
The students are Katie Jordan, Eloise Abbot and Charlotte Millem. All three have recently completed foundation degrees at the College, during which they developed their skills in a variety of professional techniques.
A final-year BA student is also working with the BBC at the moment, as a make-up artist on its production of Poldark. Francine Owens is on a placement with the Corporation, in order to develop her skills in a professional environment.
Work by FdA and BA (Hons) Media Make-Up students, has recently been on display in the College’s atrium, giving a fine display of their creative talents. The exhibition showcased students’ abilities in every aspect of make-up design and application for film, theatre, television and the fashion industry.
To honour their achievements, the College recently gave a number of awards to its students in this area. Luke Beard, Katy Jordon, Eloise Abbott and Rebecca O’Lens all received a Student of the Year gong in a number of categories, in recognition of their outstanding work and contribution to College life.
