Somerset College student Fraire Sweet was the lucky winner of a £100 shopping voucher in a competition aimed at helping students stay safe.
The competition was part of a week dedicated to the theme of Safeguarding, to make students aware of how the College can help them feel safe and secure.
“Although it’s a very serious subject our Safeguarding Theme Week gave an important message in an upbeat and interactive manner,” said Tim Yeandle, Director of Student Services & Marketing.
“It’s important students understand what is in place to help them, and feel they can speak to any staff member about their safety both inside or outside the College.”
The week included special presentations, a drama workshop about online protection and a competition to promote the launch of a college website dedicated to Safeguarding.
