Somerset College Staff, Students and Families Raise Money for Children's Hospice South West

On Sunday 2 December 2012, staff and students from Somerset College’s Social & Professional Studies department and their families ran and walked 2 km dressed as Father Christmas, to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.

The Children’s Hospice South West charity, which was set up in 1991, provides first class hospice care to sick children and has a chain of children’s hospices throughout the South West region. In addition to providing invaluable care to very sick children, the charity also provides ongoing support to the families of their patients through such difficult times.

The Christmas themed fun run was organised by Children’s Hospice South West and was one of seven fun runs that are due took place in several different locations throughout the South West in the run up to Christmas.
