Spotlight on fashion

Taunton is set to be at the forefront of fashion this Saturday (September 24) when the Orchard Centre and Somerset College join forces to present a free non-stop day of fashion - from the top end of university graduate design to the best of retail autumn wear for all ages.

Eleven lucky girls from local schools have been selected to model the younger styles, while professional models will take to the catwalk to show both the latest in retail wear and the stunning designs of fashion graduates, as recently shown at London’s Brick Lane.

There will be three catwalk shows, all held in the town’s Orchard Centre, plus ‘Quick Fix’ advice events for the public with the College’s top university level Media Make-up lecturer, well known Taunton hairdressers Toni and Guy, and fashion stylist and lecturer Gary Mills.

The event drew large crowds last year and is set to become an annual fashion fixture, with all kind of exciting activities from 11am – 4pm, plus an invitation-only evening gala fashion show.
