Students with art work in the pop-up shop

Students pop-up shop

A pop-up shop and exhibition run by Somerset College Arts & Design students is attracting visitors to the Orchard Centre, Taunton, as part of the Orchard Seasons Fashion Show.

The shop is open for two weeks until Saturday October 2 at the Orchard Shopping Centre. It offers a range of student art work from paintings to notelets for sale, to complement students’ textiles and design work for the day of fashion being held at the town shopping centre on September 25.

Visitors are invited to go and browse at Unit 35, in the courtyard just behind Café Nero, between 11am – 5pm.

“It’s a great opportunity for students to showcase some of their work and meet the general public, and it’s going really well,” said Neil Musson, Lecturer in Interior Textiles and Surface Design at the College.
