Somerset College

Somerset College is now part of the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.

Founded by successful entrepreneur and one of the stars of tv's 'Dragons Den', Peter Jones, the Academy is the first in the county, and is designed specifically for young people, keen to get ahead in the world of business.  

Students will be able to study the BTEC level 3 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, a unique course which requires them to set up and run their own business for at least 4 weeks (though many continue for significantly longer), with lots of support from the College.

As a part of this course, you will get to;

• Work on real life business challenges
• Start your own business
• Attend master-classes, workshops, micro-business surgeries and networking events
• Receive coaching from real business owners and entrepreneurs
• Undertake a personal and professional development programme designed to guide you and support your business aspirations
• Up to a 4 week placement in a highly respected company

• E-Marketing and Website Design
• Brand Development and Promotion
• Social Enterprise
