Types of accommodation

Shared housing

• Self-catered accommodation where the flat or house is shared with a group of other students.
• Students have their own room and share the communal areas of the house, eg. kitchen and bathroom.
• Payment is usually on a monthly or termly basis, prices are available on request.
• Your accommodation contract is with the property owners and not Somerset College. However, we are available to give advice and assist you on any issues that you may encounter.
• It is important to choose your shared housing carefully and always be aware of your neighbours needs as well as your own.

Private lodgings

• Lodgings are in private homes offering self-catered or catered accommodation.
• Students have their own room and share the communal areas, eg. kitchen, bathroom and sometimes the lounge.
• Payment is usually on a weekly basis, prices are available on request.

• Your accommodation contract is with the property owners and not Somerset College. However, we are available to give advice and assist you on any issues that you may encounter.
• It is important to choose your shared housing carefully and always be aware of your neighbours needs as well as your own.
