Student Support Officers (SSOs)
There are six SSOs at Somerset College, each with their own areas of responsibility. Working together with tutors, the SSOs check for any signs that you may need help and support - for example if you are absent from your classes or having problems with coursework.
The SSOs can give advice and support on a range of issues and, if necessary, liaise with other staff and organisations both inside and outside of college on your behalf. You can contact your SSO direct or you can be referred to them by your Personal Tutor or other teaching staff. You can also make an appointment by contacting College Information:
