  • Who is this course for?

    This part-time programme is offered to students who are employed full-time in the industry, and who wish to study on a day-release basis. The course places an emphasis on practical business skills together with management theory and understanding. Particularly suitable for students progressing to farm management, and eventually running a farm business.

  • Course Description

    Comprehensive training in the management of a farm/farm enterprise; this will enable learners to carry out the jobs required by their employer. A Trainer Assessor will visit the workplace to check on progress, and to ensure that evidence is being built towards the final qualification.

    City & Guilds Diploma in Work-Based Agricultural Business Management. This is divided into two parts: Farm enterprise (matched to the learners' farm employment) and Business and financial management.

    Edexcel BTEC Level 4 Certificate in Project Management for Land-Based Industries

    This part-time programme is only offered to students who are employed full-time in the industry.


    How long is the course?

    Twenty-four months. This will be agreed with the Trainer/Assessor at enrollment, at the start of the programme.
