As part of the entry requirements, you will need to provide evidence of appropriate professional practice in the education or training sector for a minimum of 30 hours over the academic year (e.g. 1 hour a week of teaching or training for 30 weeks). This should be in a leading role that carries the full range of teaching, learning and assessment responsibilities.

    The modules studied may include:

A variety of interactive teaching and learning methods are used to engage all learners and provide a stimulating HE learning environment. For example – small and large group discussions, student-led seminars, peer-assessed micro-teaching, research tasks and 1:1 tutorials. Learning technologies are also used to offer innovation and creativity.

Modules will be assessed via teaching and learning observations; written reports; reflective journal entries; peer-assessed seminars and presentations; development of specialist subject resources and a professional teaching portfolio.

  • Career Progression

Students who complete the Level 4 Certificate may be eligible to progress on to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET).
