Teaching and Assessment
You will be required to attend one 3.25 hour session every week over one academic year (36 weeks) and will be expected to spend between six and ten hours per week on additional work/home study. To obtain further tutorial help and study advice you will also be expected to visit the AAT website.
The special relationships AAT holds with the main sponsoring bodies will provide you with the opportunity to progress to one of their courses and study to become a Chartered, Certified, Management or Public Finance Accountant.
Completion of the Level 4 Professional Diploma, together with the required relevant experience, will allow you to practice as an Accounting Technician in an accounting practice, industry and commerce or the public sector as well as in your own right. Previous students have followed a professional career path and are now fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountants.
You will need to hold the AAT Level 3 Diploma or an equivalent industry qualification to gain entry onto this course.
