Teaching and Assessment
Most of your time will be spent in on our first-rate studios and workshops, although your practical work will be complemented by a programme of visual culture.
Assessment is by 100% coursework without exams.
Progression OpportunitiesThe Foundation Degree is a perfect platform for progression onto the BA (Hons) top-up degree. Our graduates have established careers in fields such as textile/interior design, style/trend forecasting and buying.
Applicants require a National Diploma in a Textile/Art and Design subject or an Art and Design MPP profile or similar. Alternatively, a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design or A2/AS Level including Art (minimum 160 points including 80 points at A2 Level) or AVCE Double Award Arts and Design (minimum grade CC) or Advanced Diploma or Access Certificate in Art and Design will suffice.
Students are also required to have five GCSEs, to include English language to a minimum of Grade C.
