A touch of Hollywood in Taunton
An autistic woman who advised Sigourney Weaver in a recent film about how to portray autism will give talks on living with autism at the Taunton Conference Centre.
Roz Blackburn, who advised and lived with Sigourney Weaver for her role in Snow Cake, will give seminars on her first hand experience of autism.
The event will be hosted by Autism Solutions, and sponsored by Somerset College and Care Focus.
Roz will talk about the problems of living with autism and will detail her unique perspective on some of the practices that played an invaluable contribution in her progression.
Alison Bruce, from Somerset Centre for Enterprise, said: ‘Roz speaks with humour and offers many examples of her life's experiences. People attending these seminars will gain an invaluable insight into the world of autism. It really isn't to be missed if you live or work with people diagnosed with autism.'
Seminars will take place 10.00am and 2.00pm between Wednesday 17 - Friday 19 September at the Taunton Conference Centre, Somerset College.
