Annual art show is a “Revelation”
Somerset College’s annual art show for final-year degree students proved to be a great success among visitors.
The exhibition, entitled ‘Revelation’, showcased the achievements of the College’s aspiring artists. It featured a selection of their course work, using a variety of media to express their creativity and passion.
The show also signalled the final public event in the current Art & Design building, which is being refurbished over coming months as part of the College’s innovative Arts House Project.
Work gets underway in July to refresh the faculty building, which will be reopened in September 2015. The new facilities have been developed with the needs of the creative industries in mind. They will provide a cutting-edge setting for a range of courses designed to prepare students for the world of work.
“The art show demonstrates Somerset College’s expertise in Art & Design,” said College principal Rachel Davies. “With the Arts House Project, we’re building on our heritage to create a landmark facility for future generations to enjoy.”
