Another Accolade for Somerset College
Somerset College has just received an award for its excellence in employer-based training. The Training Quality Standard, a notoriously difficult award to achieve, was scooped up by the college for its excellence in delivering training and development services to employers in the South West. Now recognised as ‘the provider of choice’ for employer training, the College can carry on delivering Train to Gain contracts throughout Somerset and the South West along with the Apprenticeships, Short Courses and Bespoke Courses that are on offer.
Director of Enterprise and Employer Relations, Sue Parker said: ‘As a responsive college we have enjoyed a reputation for providing students with the best skills for employment. We have adapted our training services to meet the needs of individual employers in the testing climate in which we find ourselves. Achieving the Training Quality Standard means we are now officially recognised for this and we are very proud.’
Somerset College Business Centre helps companies gain a competitive edge by providing their employees with the skills needed to support their goals. The College develop training solutions which are right for local businesses regardless of their size.
