Bucking the Trend
Research at Somerset College in Taunton has revealed a 100% increase in student enrolments for the Foundation Diploma course in Art & Design.
“More students are realising that they need to bolster their chances of getting into a University by honing their skills and broadening their experience at the same time,” Head of Arts & Design, Paul Bailey said. “I also think people out there are starting to realise that a Foundation Diploma at Somerset College is especially useful because they will have access to University tutors and facilities which they can’t get at other colleges. In fact, many of our Foundation Diploma students go on to complete a Degree at the College.”
Another choice is to do the National Diploma which provides direct entry qualifications for a University degree, but requires higher pre-course qualifications.
