Colourful launch for degree show students

Spectacular designs, art work, fashion and media make-up went on show this weekend, with work by over 300 students, as the end of year degree shows launched at Somerset College, Taunton, and other venues locally and in London.

From fashion textiles to fine art, graphic design to sculpture, hundreds of art works went on show at a special weekend launch in a host of venues including the College’s Art and Design building, The Brewhouse theatre in Taunton, The Business Design Centre in London, and a recent highly successful Free Range fashion show in London’s Brick Lane.

Among the highlights of the launch evening this weekend, was a vibrant catwalk display of ‘beings’ from aliens to surreal beauties created by Foundation and BA (Hons) degree Media Make-up students, who come from all over the country for one of the oldest established courses of its kind..

The art shows last throughout June – please visit for details.
