Most of our rooms are single occupancy, with a limited amount of shared accommodation available. Students are housed dependant on their age and whether they are studying further or higher education. Catered and self-catering options are available for students over 18. For under 18s, accommodation costs include a meal card. All of our accommodation features security controlled access, CCTV and 24 hour security support.
Facilities include free Wi-Fi, on-site restaurants and cafes, free on-site parking and a laundry. There is a communal common room which is open for all students to use and contains pool tables, games machines, juke box, projector TV, Wii console and DVDs. We also have a bar on-site which opens on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings only and sells soft drinks and alcoholic beverages for students aged 18 and over. The common room is open from 8am to 5pm and then 6pm to 2am for students to use.
Cannington is a charming village which plays host to a number of local shops for your convenience such as a post office, newsagent, butcher, baker, hair and beauty salon, church, bed and breakfast houses as well as public houses and many more local entertainment attractions.
Buses run regularly to and from the College from Halls. There is a bus stop directly outside the Halls of Residence, with buses running regularly throughout the day. It is a thirteen minute bus ride to the Bridgwater Campus or a twenty minute cycle ride. There are cycle racks available at Halls and on campus. Taxi's are also available.
Travel to the Taunton Campus will take approximately 45 minutes by bus.
Excellent transport links to the M5, A38 and A39 allow easy access to the coast, Devon and Cornwall. There are cycle racks available at both of these campuses.
Parking is free but spaces are limited. All vehicles are left at your own risk. You must take out appropriate insurance as the College will not cover any loss or damage. Please note bicycles are not allowed in any Halls’ buildings. If found, they will be removed and placed in the cycle racks provided for your use.
A full social calendar with a diverse range of activities are provided as part of the accommodation package, ranging from barbecues to sports to film nights, we aim to provide something for everyone. Taking part in activities is a great way to meet people, other than those on your course and make new friends. Students can also bring friends who are not residential by signing them in with the Student Liaison Team.
