Halls of Residence

Your First Home Away from Home

For many undergraduate students, living away from home is a central part of the university experience. That is why University Centre Somerset offers attractive purpose-built accommodation to degree students - providing a welcoming place to live where you can form friendships and stand on your own two feet.

Students at Cannington often find it easiest to live on campus. We have recently invested £3m in our accommodation here, and have 116 well-equipped single rooms available. Priority is given to students who live more than 30 miles away, or who are studying land-based disciplines. With catered and self-catering rooms available, there is plenty of scope to choose the right option for you. Either way, you’ll become part of a vibrant residential community where people share many common interests, and have an abiding love of the beautiful countryside that is right on the doorstep.Campus facilities include free Wi-Fi, communal TV lounges, on-site restaurants and cafes, free on-site parking and a laundry.

When OFSTED inspected Cannington’s living quarters in 2015, it judged them to be Outstanding in every respect.
