Management and Leadership CMI Diploma Level 5

Course Overview

These qualifications are aimed at practising or aspiring managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owner. The primary role of a practising or aspiring manager and leader is to lead and manage individuals and teams to deliver aims and objectives in line with organisational strategy.

Your key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.

This qualification provides flexibility, with the option to study a single unit as an Award or to complete a full Certificate or Diploma.

Units may include:

  • Using reflective practice to inform personal and professional development
  • Principles of management and leadership in an organisational context
  • Developing, managing and leading individuals and teams to success

Assessment

Assessment Methods

The Level 5 Award / Certificate / Diploma is assessed through written assignments and the majority of modules are taught via lectures. Other teaching methods include seminars, tutorials, workshops and guided learning/independent activities.

Entry Requirements and Progression

Progression

Upon successful completion learners are able to progress to further learning within the suite of Level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership by completing an Award and topping up to Certificate or Diploma. Learners may also wish to further their ongoing personal and professional development by accessing other qualifications.

Entry Requirements

Typically entrants will:

  • Have a CMI Certificate in First Line Management or an NVQ Level 4 in Management.

Mature students without the stated entry requirements but with appropriate experience are encouraged to apply.

Fees

The course fee is £2686.00* per year of study.
