There are no exams. Each module is assessed through assignments, which may include reflective essays, the creation of learning resources, and presentations.

Entry Requirements and Progression

Progression

This Foundation Degree can lead to a variety of career paths, including roles in family support, children's centers, primary schools, and other early years settings. A top-up year is available for students who wish to achieve a Level 6 BA (Hons) Degree.

Entry Requirements

  • A minimum of 64 UCAS tariff points from a full Level 3 qualification in a related subject area.
  • At least four GCSEs, including English and maths, at grade 4 or above, or a recognized equivalent.
  • Mature students who do not meet these formal requirements can apply if they can demonstrate relevant experience and knowledge.
  • A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required before any work placement.
