You attend college one day a week for one year and are required to undertake personal therapy during the course.

Assessment

Assessment Methods

This counselling qualification is assessed internally by tutors through a candidate portfolio of evidence and externally through a written case review. Candidates must be rated Proficient in all seven learning outcomes, evidencing 60 hours of client work, 40 hours of personal therapy, and 3,000–3,500 word assignments.

Entry Requirements and Progression

Progression

This qualification is designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as self-employed counsellors in independent practice. It also equips learners to take on a senior counselling role in an organisational context where client assessment, referral and routine evaluation are part of the role.

The course fee is £811.00* per year of study.
