Computing and Digital Technologies Foundation Degree Awarded Higher Technical Qualification Status

Right now, there are huge technical skills gaps in the UK, meaning employers need people with technical skills more than ever before. Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) have been specifically developed with employers and businesses so that students will get the training, knowledge, and skills they are looking for, unlocking high-skilled and highly paid jobs.

The Computing and Digital Technologies Foundation Degree at UCS is one of the first Digital HTQs in the country and will be available as such from this September.

As well as being awarded HTQ status, this two-year course is validated by The Open University, so students can study in Somerset for a foundation degree from a leading institution while also gaining the skills to be ready to jump straight into their chosen career.

For students who wish to progress to further study, there are also clear pathways; here at UCS the natural progression for students wanting to ‘top up’ their HTQ qualification to a full Honours Degree is the one-year Computing and Digital Technologies BSc (Hons) Top-up.

HTQs are a great option for college leavers or for anyone looking to upskill and gain a qualification. Applications are open now to study the Computing and Digital Technologies Foundation Degree at UCS this September, find out more: https://www.somerset.ac.uk/courses/computing-and-digital-technologies-foundation-degree-full-time.html
