UCS was excited to bring experts in Music, Graphic Design, FX Makeup and Computing to Taunton last weekend, to deliver exclusive masterclasses and workshops at its Taunton campus.
Attendees had the choice of a music masterclass with renowned drum n bass artist Dr Meaker, a branding session with local business owner Paul Smith, a Makeup Artistry workshop with Course Leader Andy Howell and a Computing workshop with Nathan Crocker, creator of the cloud-based system, Skynet.
Billed as a CreaTech Careers Event, the day was open to anyone interested in pursuing a career in the CreaTech* industries and was held as part of the UCS commitment to providing relevant skills for real life success.
Adrie Judd said,
“Both the branding workshop and Dr Meaker’s workshop were so good and I came away with so much new knowledge.”
As well as hands-on activities, the day included lots of information about careers in the creative and tech industries, and pathways into them. The UCS Admissions team and Next Steps South West were on hand to advise on relevant higher education courses and how to access them.
