In the first week of term, UCS Media Make-up students were already getting stuck in with a practical workshop.
The session, run by ScreenSkills, began with TV and film industry professionals sharing with students the realities of working on set, and explaining the variety of jobs available in different departments.
In the hands-on part of the workshop, Media Make-up and Media students came together to recreate a scene from the 2019 film, Joker. Media students were given specific production roles, enjoying access to high quality lighting, sound and camera equipment. Alongside them, Media Make-up students prepared the actors for set.
The Media Make-up students are now beginning the design stage of their current module and are doing really well!
