Applying for Accommodation

In order to apply for a place in our accommodation you will need to follow this process as outlined below.

STEP 1
If you are interested in applying to live in our on-site accommodation, you will need to complete and return an accommodation expression of interest form. You will then be invited to attend an interview. This usually takes place when you are being interviewed for your chosen course. If you later decide you are no longer interested or do not require accommodation you must let us know by contacting the Student Liaison Team.

STEP 2
In the Summer term, from the end of April, we will send out letters and/or emails to inform you if you have been successful at interview. You will then be asked to pay £175 by the closing date specified. This reserves a place in accommodation for you.

At this time you can also access bursary information and application forms allowing your parents/carers to apply for funding if required; this is done on a first come, first served means-tested priority basis. STEP 3
Allocations for accommodation are made during the summer term; all successful applicants will be emailed/written to confirm their place. This will include information relating to the procedures that will need to be followed for the start of term. Places are allocated in order of priority, therefore students applying to study a land-based, Higher Education or specialist course, or living outside of a 30 mile radius of the College will gain precedence.

Contracts
All students living in residential accommodation are required to sign a contract, which will vary depending on your age. The Residential Code of Conduct and rules will be explained to you at interview and a contract issued once the deposit has been paid.
