Governance

The Governing Body, or Corporation, is responsible to the local and wider community to supervise the way University Centre Somerset, part of Bridgwater & Taunton College, is run. Full Governors’ responsibilities are set out in Article 3 of government which includes references to the academic, financial and staffing functions of the college.

We are also committed to supporting access and participation in higher education by students from disadvantaged backgrounds and under-represented groups. We are also determined for University Centre Somerset to meet community needs and provide first class education.

If you are interested in becoming a Governor, please contact the Clerk to the Governors, Mark Nettle on nettlem@btc.ac.uk.

Further information can be found at Bridgwater & Taunton College’s Corporate Governance webpage.
