In an exciting development for aspiring makeup professionals, UCS is proud to strengthen its collaboration with TV and film Prosthetic makeup designer, Sangeet Prabhaker.
Sangeet will mentor and train makeup students at the Taunton campus on a once-per-month basis over the next year, offering them unparalleled insights into the craft and its application.
Sangeet brings with him two decades of experience, leading Studio Sangeet, a boutique prosthetic makeup design studio. His work spans short films, TV series such as Game of Thrones, Prison Break and Willow, and major blockbuster productions including Dune, Doctor Strange and The Dark Knight Rises.
This collaboration aligns perfectly with the launch of UCS’s revitalised makeup degree programme. As Media Make-up becomes Makeup Artistry, Prosthetic FX, and Wig Making, it aligns more closely with the ever-evolving demands of industry. The refreshed curriculum reflects current trends and techniques, positioning our students at the forefront of artistic innovation.
It also underscores UCS’s commitment to providing Degrees for Real Life; students enrolled on the Makeup Artistry, Prosthetic FX, and Wig Making degree can look forward to a course designed to prepare them for the realities of working in industry.
