University Centre Somerset’s Early Childhood Education and Care Course Leader, Dr Louise Hannan, has shared her research at the Bright Start Islington Conference 2026.
The conference at Emirates Stadium, London, brought together professionals from across the early years sector. Attendees explored the theme ‘Secure Beginnings – How strong relationships can nurture emotional wellbeing throughout the early years and beyond’. Bright Start Islington invited Louise to present her research alongside other sector specialists, highlighting her expertise in early childhood education.
Louise’s doctoral research explores the importance of emotional environments in early childhood and how relationships support children’s wellbeing and development.
