Motorsport

Update, December 2023: We are in the process of finalising our Motorsport course offering for September 2024. The course will aim to develop the knowledge and skills that you will need to become a highly qualified engineer. Our excellent facilities include a fully-equipped workshop, CAD suites, wind tunnel, advanced chassis set-up equipment, CNC and machine shop and cylinder head flow analysis equipment amongst a whole host of software packages.

We have carried out a large range of industry partner visits to the likes of Xtrac, Williams, Force India and other related motorsport engineering companies. We also have a series of guest lectures throughout each year. You may also be given the opportunity to participate in the College race team.

You will gain a range of both practical and theoretical skills that can be utilised in industry. The range of modules gives good coverage to a wide range of topics, allowing you to explore the areas of Motorsport that you wish to specialise in. The Project and Work placement modules give you the chance to further look into potential career paths and challenge yourself both in a working environment and with a self-study project module.
